The History of Calico Brook
2006
The idea of creating a fabulous shopping experience was conceived with several months of intensive research being undertaken.
2007
We began the process of looking for suitable premises.
Hurrah, ideal premises found in Broughty Ferry, a vibrant and affluent suburb of Dundee on the East coast of Scotland, and a real "destination shopping” area.
Premises transformed into a stylish boutique gift store with our own unique brand identity.
Opened our first retail outlet.
Calico Brook started trading 1 November 2007.
2008
Began to investigate e-commerce and taking Calico Brook online
2009
Online shop www.calicobrook.co.uk now fully operational
2010
New ranges introduced to both our retail store and online shop.
And... this was followed by the introduction of our Wedding Gift List service in the spring and our first wedding fair at Letham Grange Hotel on 16th May 2010.
